Sasaki Sushi in New Smyrna Beach

If you like Sushi then you need to go to this place. Even from Orlando it makes sense to come and enjoy great food here.

Food and service were excellent! I highly recommend this place!

Just a real fire sushi experience, the owner is a real craftsmen and it makes the food taste so much better.

Small quaint little place with limited seating. Service was prompt and very friendly. All of the sushi rolls that I had were very good. But the size of the rolls was a bit on the small side compared to most places that I go to. The menu is limited but seems like they will accommodate you and customize your sushi rolls or make you what you want if they have the ingredients.

No one in the place cares whether the sushi is good and more importantly whether the customer is happy. We had two more expensive dishes on the menu with more or less the same sashimi choices. The octopus was inedible. So when the waiter comes and asks a routine question "How is everything?" and you say "good except for the octopus" (15% of your meal) you sort of expect some sort of reaction from one of the two chefs in the nearly empty place. No such luck! Do you yourself a favor skip the pretentious place and find another restaurant. There are many around to choose from.

Everyone I go to the beach, I make sure to come here for dinner. Limited seating but wonderful food and service.

This is the best sushi I've ever eaten. The owner and chef made me an off-the-menu fried salmon skin roll and it was better than the ones I ate in Vegas at "Tokyo's". I've always tried any establishments' eel sauce but never cared for the flavor for one reason or another. "Sasaki's" eel sauce was simply delicious. I'm in town again and my sister and I are going back before I head back home to Michigan. I'll keep u posted!

Amazing little place! Clean, decorated with original, beautiful murals, staff welcoming. So glad we found it. Food was BEYOND delicious...tuna so fresh it just melted in your mouth. Specials were original and well presented. Some interesting and delicious ingredients...cliantro, nacho chips...very creative. Great energy from the chef who was clearly passionate about his restaurant. Must try!!

I've been going there for over 15 yrs. There food is always Fresh, and Fabulous, while the service is Very Friendly. I moved away and still make that drive, it's my Favourite place. Try it ! You won't be disappointed.

Didn't have what i wanted and the sushi was too warm like everything was sitting out for a while. Cute place, friendly staff, we'll see if that tuna messes with me though.

The former Shiki from Winter Park. Well worth the two hour drive from Tampa. Now that I have found Beni, Jimmy, and the gang, I will be back.

The sushi is amazing. The fish is so fresh. I've never had sashimi like this before. The color was perfect and they were nice size pieces. Staff is super friendly and the atmosphere is awesome! Get the tunacado!!

Great fresh food!!! Really nice guys. The place is TINY! Nothing fancy, maybe 6 small tables but we always get take out and love the food!

What can I say awesome Place awesome staff so friendly and the food is better than you would expect trust me this place is great and if there is something on the menu that you want to tweak or adjust the chef will do it no problem tell them what you want they will make what it is that you are craving to perfection and as far as the ginger salad dressing goes I have had many I have had many all over the country this is by far one of the best I have ever had unbelievable flavor you can tell these folks know what they're doing and they care about the job they are doing nothing but thumbs up

Great little hole in the wall place. Best service we've ever had a sushi place. Staff was friendly, food was fresh and inventive. Wonderful find while on vacation. Will definitely be back when we visit again.

The sushi was first class. Ingredients are organic and dishes are prepared to order. The fish was fresh from the sea, and the presentation was second to none. I highly recommend Sasaki, their friendly staff and reasonable prices!

First time here and couldn't be happier! The food was outstanding. We ordered tuna roll, salmon roll, octopus poke, seaweed salad and edamame. Everything was fantastic. Only complaint on food was rolls fell apart easily but a small price to pay for the freshness. A little pricy but definitely worth it! Could use to hire some more staff, only 2 people in house with 4 full tables. Very polite but overwhelmed, was left waiting for check and water.

This place is on point. Best sushi I've had in a very long time. The chef is master trained and has been in the business for over 20 years. His food is out of this world. The fish are prepped and prepared properly and aged perfectly. I can't go any where else now.

Absolutely the best sushi in New Smyrna Beach without of doubt. So much fun. Located right in the heart on Flagler Avenue. What a wonderful local experience, not to mention the staff so much fun and food is brilliant. Both the Dynamite and the Delight are delicious. As a local property manager this is on my must-do list for all of my guests. And if they've never tried sushi I encouraged them to make this their first go, they will fall in love. Go enjoy & tell them Jules sent you.. And yes there are a couple of tables outside so the pooch would be welcome.

I'm not sure how this place has so many good reviews. In the longer than it should of been time I was there I saw a couple come in and walk out when they realized the sushi "chef" is an amateur in more than just sushi making, a table getting the wrong order (which I'm not sure how that's possible when the place has like 10 seats), and my experience was equally not good. I don't normally call out specific employees but the sushi "chef" that was there is reason alone to walk out, he was a younger guy with short black hair, if you see him turn around. His complete lack of customer service is astonishing which is a fairly important trait when you have a sushi bar... If that wasn't enough to make you rethink this place be sure not to actually order sushi, unless you are interested in poorly made rolls. This place is also very expensive, just don't come here.

EXCELLENT kimchi, very small seating area inside but overall cute. Good sushi at reasonable prices with a handful of vegetarian options. Literally I cannot recommend that kimchi enough. (also I forgot a brown gift bag there so, like, lemme know if you find that, @SasakiSushi)

Best Poke Bowl I’ve Ever Had! This is my favorite restaurant in New Smyrna. It is the best sushi you will find anywhere around. The restaurant is run by a family who has perfected this art for generations. They take a lot of pride in having the best fish they can find. You will always feel welcome and at home in the restaurant.I am proud to be a customer at Sasaki. Thanks for the best poke bowl I’ve ever had. It doesn’t get any better.

"Don't judge a place by it's looks" definitely applies here. A very small sushi restaurant that will only hold a handful of people might easily be missed but some of the best fresh made sushi I've ever had. Along with superb friendly staff. A definite place to stop while at New Smyrna

This is our favorite place to get sushi. The food is phenomenal. The chefs are very nice to talk to and very talented at their craft. You can get sushi, sashimi, poke, rolls, and appetizers. They have cooked and raw options. Everytime we go everything has been great. We will be back again and again.

Don't judge a book by it's cover! This small sushi spot is putting out some amazingly fresh sushi. I'm a Poke fanatic and Sasaki is on point! Whether you get it with fresh greens or with brown rice, its always so fresh and has so much flavor! Wash it down with some white wine and enjoy the reggae music. You are on an island Mon!
